About

The Winston School of Short Hills is a coed, private special education school dedicated to providing quality education to children in grades 1-8 with language-based learning differences. Our students are capable of academic excellence, but face a range of challenges such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADHD, low processing speed, central auditory processing disorder, and poor organizational and executive functioning skills. We employ Orton-Gillingham-based reading programs and a multi-modality approach to teaching in all disciplines and grade levels to overcome these hurdles. As a result, our students move forward to attend high schools across various sectors such as mainstream public, independent, boarding, or parochial schools.
